About
G.J. Curran is an English-Zimbabwean fiction writer whose debut novel weaves together the raw beauty of human emotion, regenerative agriculture, and the pull of the African landscape.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Geoff spent the early part of his career farming tobacco and coffee before moving to the UK, where he continued in agriculture and later switched to IT, working mainly in the leisure industry and the NHS. Those varied chapters of life — from red African soil to hospital corridors — fuel the authenticity in his stories.
A lifelong sports fanatic (rugby and cricket top the list), Geoff is never happier than when he's outdoors. He has a deep, abiding love for Southern Africa and an equally strong passion for permaculture and sustainable farming, themes that thread through his writing.
When he's not at the keyboard, you'll find him mudlarking along the Jurassic Coast with his wife, hunting for bits of treasure and ancient fossils — moments that often spark the next plot twist.
